Nairobi, Kenya 25th November 2024 – GS1, a global leader in provision of barcodes and RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) to ensure traceability and data management solutions, has broken ground at Konza Technopolis to build their regional offices. This groundbreaking of the 1.1 acres project reflects the organization’s vision of becoming the leading center for traceability and data management across all sectors in Kenya and the region.

The building, a prefabricated structure with a unique Global Location Number (GLN) identifier, exemplifies GS1’s commitment to precision and innovation. It has also earned the esteemed Green Edge Building Certification, emphasizing its adherence to sustainable and environmentally friendly construction practices.
The construction is expected to be completed before the end of 2025, with operations scheduled to begin within the same year. The facility will initially engage 23 employees, with plans to onboard an additional 25, bringing the total workforce to 48.
