AFC Bournemouth and Arsenal Injury updates ahead of Today’s clash

Cherries midfielder Tyler Adams will be available for this weekend’s clash with Arsenal at Vitality Stadium.

In his weekly press conference, head coach Andoni Iraola shared the update on the USA international.

Iraola also spoke on left-back Milos Kerkez, who was unable to report for international duty with Hungary.

He said: “I think everyone is going to be available.

“Obviously, [Tyler and Milos] are different cases. You have the case of Tyler, and you know that he hasn’t played a lot of time.

“He lacks some game time but that is normal.

“He is feeling very well, doing well, has good sensations and has trained very well this break with us. He is ready.

The head coach also provided an update on the players returning from international duty ahead of Saturday’s Premier League test.

Iraola shared: “Availability-wise, everyone has come back well with no injuries; there has been nothing in the national team games.

“So, I’m happy in that department.”

On the other side, Mikel Arteta has provided an update on the fitness of Bukayo Saka and seven other Arsenal players ahead of his side’s clash with Bournemouth.

Saka came off during the second half of England’s 2-1 defeat to Greece last week with a muscular problem. The 23-year-old then missed the Three Lions’ subsequent fixture with Finland after coming back to north London for further tests on the issue and is a doubt going into Saturday’s clash at the Vitality Stadium.

It’s not a serious injury,” Arteta said on Friday morning. “He’s evolving really well. He’s done a few things in the last few days when he came back from the national team after the second game. We are hopeful.”

Fellow forward Gabriel Martinelli is also a doubt after missing Brazil’s second match against Peru with a calf problem. Arteta has suggested that he faces a late fitness test.

“Gabi landed yesterday afternoon,” he said. “So we’ve had a very short time to be with him. Yesterday he went outside to do a little bit and see how he’s feeling. Today will be another step to understand whether we want to take the risk if he’s fit. I know what the player is going to say ‘I’m going to be fit’.”
