Prime Suspect Arrested in Kware Dumpsite Murders

The prime suspect in the gruesome murders of individuals found in the Kware dumpsite in Mukuru kwa Njenga, Embakasi South Constituency, has been arrested. Collins Jomaisi Khalisia, a 33-year-old from Vihiga County, was apprehended at a club in Kayole. Khalisia, who allegedly dumped the body of his first victim – his wife – in the quarry in 2022, was found in possession of multiple sim cards at the time of his arrest.

The suspect is believed to have murdered the victims, wrapped their bodies in polythene bags, and disposed of them at the dumpsite. Khalisia has been taken to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters in Kiambu for further police action.

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja confirmed on Sunday that eight bodies and twelve body parts have been retrieved from the dumpsite as investigations into the horrific incident continue.

Meanwhile, families of missing persons have arrived at the Nairobi Funeral Home, formerly City Mortuary, to identify their loved ones among the retrieved bodies.
