In a significant political shake-up, President William Ruto has dismissed all Cabinet Secretaries and the Attorney General with immediate effect. The announcement was made in a national address from State House Nairobi on Thursday afternoon.
President Ruto clarified that the only positions unaffected by this decision are those of the Deputy President and the Prime Cabinet Secretary.
Explaining his decision, President Ruto stated, “I have resolved to dissolve my Cabinet upon reflection, listening keenly to what the people of Kenya have said, and after a holistic appraisal of the performance of the cabinet and its achievements and challenges.”
This move comes as part of a broader effort by the President to realign his administration in response to the evolving needs and demands of the Kenyan populace.
