President William Ruto touched down in Rome, Italy, on Saturday morning to attend the burial ceremony of Pope Francis, set to be held at the Santa Maria Maggiore basilica. Upon arrival, he was welcomed by National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula. The two joined a host of global leaders gathered for the solemn occasion.
Earlier in the week, the Vatican announced that over 130 foreign delegations, including 50 heads of state and 10 reigning monarchs, had confirmed their participation in honoring the late Pope Francis.
